Mike Cameron has been a self-employed consultant, course facilitator, coach and executive search recruiter since leaving corporate life in early 1998. 

 

He has undertaken a wide range of strategic planning and technical projects both locally and overseas.  His clients have included multinational organizations, local government authorities, manufacturing and service businesses.

 

Mike has held senior and executive roles within the asphalt, quarrying and explosives industries in Australia and overseas with responsibility for and a strong focus on profitability, fixed-cost management, strategic direction, sales/revenue growth, value-adding innovation, procedural excellence and the development of highly motivated and committed teams with a common purpose.

 

He has had significant past, long term commitment to and involvement in professional institutions, industry associations, advisory boards and regulatory authorities.

Mike established, and ran for a period of seven years, a successful recruitment and executive search agency, Affordable Recruitment. The company was sold in early 2007.

 

He developed, during 2005, and subsequently presented/facilitated/coached a Risk Assessment & Hazard management program which was especially designed for the (i) Explosives (ii) Extractive, and (iii) Construction industries.

 

Mike undertook training through Box Hill Institute of TAFE during 2007 and acquired a Cert IV in Training & Assessment, following which, he facilitated the same course for Park Orchards Learning Centre Inc.

 

Mike and business partner Vali Ghobadi established, during 2006, a specialist training company, The Next Step Business Roundtable Program Pty Ltd.  It has an extensive catalogue of programs for small to medium-sized business owners, as well as presenting the Cert IV in Small Business Management course through an RTO, the Diamond Valley Learning Centre in Greensborough.

 

He is an accredited facilitator and course coach with Leadership Management Australia Pty Ltd.  After undergoing additional training he facilitated 6 ~ Cert IV and 4 ~ Cert III courses in Business Management since joining the company in November 2006.  He also acts as a course Coach, from time to time, for a number of LMA’s programs.
